Reginald G. Walker, Jr.

Reginald G. Walker, Jr., 95, of Milford, NH, was born on December 5, 1924 in Nashua, NH, and passed away on June 13, 2020. He was the son of Reginald G. Walker, Sr. and Edrie (Gouin) Walker. Reg was predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Norma Jean (Gerry) Walker. Reg grew up in Milford, NH on the Twin Elm Farm of his aunt and uncle, Louise and Claude Hammond. He received a War Emergency Diploma from Milford High School, enlisted in the Marine Corps in January 1943 and attended Radio Operator School at Camp Lejeune, NC. He served in the 3rd Amphibious Tractor Battalion at Guadalcanal, Emirau Island and Guam and the 21st Marines, 3rd Division at Iwo Jima. He served in the NH National Guard and retired as a Colonel. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern University in 1972. A long-time resident of Amherst, NH, he worked for Sanders Associates, Inc., BAE Systems, retiring in 1987. Reg enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Holiday Rambler Club. Reg was predeceased by brothers, John, David, Paul and sister, Sarah Walker. He is survived by his daughter Connie and husband Robert Blake, Milford, NH; daughter Marilyn and husband Robert Bentley, Arlington, VA; and son Reggie and wife Brenda Walker of Milford, NH; nine grandchildren: Linsey, Lori and Andrew Blake; Benjamin, Nathan and Sarah Bentley; Guy, Rebeka and Wesley Walker; three great grandchildren: Sagan Blake-Walsh, Kaia and Isaac Bentley; brothers: James L. Walker, Sr., Bruce Walker, Tom Walker; sisters: Judy Walker and Debbie Howe; and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. Contributions may be made to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
