Raymond "Ray" A. Dick

Raymond “Ray” A. Dick, 60, resident of Wilton, NH, died unexpectedly on December 21, 2023.

Ray was born on September 21, 1963 in Nashua NH, son of the late Robert E Dick and Lillian (Edwards) Dick and stepmother Elizabeth Dick.

Ray was a lifelong resident of Wilton, NH and was a member of the Wilton Fire Department for 35 years with 20 years as Chief. He loved the Fire Department and its members. One of his greatest accomplishments was helping to design and the overseeing of the construction of the addition at the Wilton Fire Station.

After leaving the fire department, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and especially loved being a grandfather. He loved watching his grandchildren play and loved being on the receiving end of their hugs.

Ray enjoyed many summer vacations at the beach in Maine, the one time a year he could feast on seafood. He also enjoyed many summers at a friend’s camp on a lake where he could sit and fish from the lawn all day long.

He was very proud of his children Haley and Parker and what they are doing in their lives.

Ray was predeceased by his brother, Robert E. Dick, Jr., and his sister, Jo Ann Dick.

Family members include his loving wife Lori (Herlihy) Dick of Wilton, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Haley Coffey and Francis of Milford, NH; a son, Parker Dick of Wilton, NH; two grandchildren, Gavin and Levi Coffey. Many cousins and friends.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 28th from 4:00-8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29th at 10:00am in the Second Congregational Church, 25 Gregg Street, Wilton, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wilton’s Fireman’s Relief Association, PO Box 533, Wilton, NH 03086 or to the Second Congregational Church, PO Box 246, Wilton, NH 03086.
