Raymond F. Matthews

Raymond F. Matthews, 67, resident of Lowell, MA, died June 8, 2011 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA. He was born in Boston, MA on August 6, 1943, a son of Owen F. and Ethel (Glynn) Matthews. Mr. Matthews resided in Lowell for several years, Lawrence, MA for many years and for most of his adult life, he had lived in West Roxbury, MA. He was devoted to his faith and was active in his church community over the years. In addition, he had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed spending time with family. Mr. Matthews was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Allard. Family members include three sisters, Esther Capes of Tuscon, AZ, Charlotte Annand of Milford, NH and Ruth Matthews of Washington, DC; several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14th at 10:30 am in St. Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Amherst.
