Ralph D. Bent

Ralph Donald Bent, 87, lifetime resident of Brookline, NH, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 21, 2024.

Ralph was born on February 19, 1937 to Arthur and Eva (Devine) Bent, Sr.

He was married for 69 years to the love of his life, Sandra (Mason) Bent. 

Ralph was a wholesale florist which included making Christmas wreaths and garland. He enjoyed snowmobiling with his family, motorcycling on which he and his wife took many wonderful trips, dancing to country music and spending time in the mountains at the camp he built in Jefferson, NH. 

In his earlier days, he owned and loved riding horses. Ralph was an all-around handyman and could build and fix most anything. But the things that brought him the most joy, was spending time with his family which he adored.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his two children, Shari and Ralph Jr.; his sister, Barbara Austin; his brother, Donald Bent; his son-in-law, David Kinney, Sr.; and his nephew, Fred Bent.

In addition to his loving wife, family members include his daughter, Tamara Kinney; sons and daughters-in-law, Lance & Kim Bent, and Chad & Eva Bent; his grandchildren, David (DJ) and Rachel Kinney, Jr., Shane and Nikki Kinney, Travis and Marcalyn Kinney, Aubrey and Bob Short, Ashley Bent and her fiance, Mike Landry, Torrie Bent, Savanna Bent and Chad Bent; 12 great grandchildren; his brother, Arthur Bent, Jr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Andrea & Tom Daniels; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 25th at 11:00AM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Pepperell Road, Brookline, NH. Donations in his memory may be made to Tunnel to Towers, Home, Health and Hospice Care or the Brookline Ambulance Service.
