Rachel E. Ladd

Rachel E. Ladd, 87, resident of Wilton, NH, died March 10, 2012 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Addison, Vermont on June 18, 1924, a daughter of Howard and Katherine (Sheldon) Trudeau. Mrs. Ladd resided in Wilton for several years and formerly lived in the Milford area for many years and on Cape Cod for more than 10 years. She enjoyed swimming, gardening and sports, especially biking and walking. This past year Mrs. Ladd, along with her husband and son, hiked to the top of Pack Monadnock. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Ladd was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Luty. Family members include her husband of 66 years, Lawrence E. Ladd of Wilton, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Larry Holland of Wilton, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Renee Ladd of Wisconsin; a granddaughter, Courtney Devine and her husband, Dennis of Milford; two great grandchildren, Ariana and Maddox Devine, both of Milford; and a sister, Elizabeth Kennedy of Wilton, NH. Services will be private.
