Priscilla C. Lambert

Priscilla C. Lambert, 80, resident of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Jaffrey, NH, went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2017. “Pris”was born in Biddeford, ME on February 21, 1937, a daughter of Armand and Lillian (Lamontagne) Lambert. She was raised and educated in Biddeford, living until age 68 in the same town, with her mother. During her adult years in Biddeford, and in spite of life long Cerebral Palsy, she volunteered 25 years in the Webber Hospital, attended Univ. of So. Maine for study of communication, gained a white and orange belt in Karate, learned adaptive skiing, and participated in numerous other activities. She represented handicapped adults under the administration of former Maine Governor, John Baldacci, including attending a major conference in Baltimore with the Governor. Upon death of her mom, Pris continued living alone four years, in their Biddeford apartment, having the ability to use her powered scooter to meet needs for town activity. With CP becoming a greater burden, she moved to New Hampshire to live with sister, Vivian, and her husband, Stewart for four years. Then, Good Shepherd became her home which continued up to her passing, still maintaining a high quality of life with strong advocacy support by Vivian. She was a bright star in her five years at Good Shepherd, very friendly with staff and residents alike, engaging all on a first name basis, and cheerfully developing art and computer skills, and self-taught harmonica, right up to her passing. She will be greatly missed by her close Biddeford childhood friend of 64 years, Claudette Camire, and Karen Riddle, Temple, NH, who supported her weekly at Good Shepherd. Family members include two sisters, Vivian Ross (mentioned above) of Milford, NH, Constance Boucher of Lyman, Me, with son Paul and his wife Peggy, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 3rd at 2:00 PM at Good Shepherd, 20 Plantation Drive, Jaffrey, NH 03452. A graveside service is scheduled for May 19, 2018 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Biddeford, ME, in the Lambert family plot. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jaffrey Bible Church, 133 Turnpike Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452 in Pris's memory.
