Pierre R. Pete Cullinan, 63, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died July 27, 2007 at his mother's home in Milford, surrounded by his family. He was born in Nashua, NH on April 2, 1944, a son of Cecile A. (Bergeron) Cullinan of Milford, NH and the late Joseph T. Cullinan. Mr. Cullinan was raised and educated in Milford and had lived in Pennsylvania, California and Nevada for the past 15 years. He was employed as a bus driver and maintenance worker at a small mountain school in the Sierra Nevada region of California. While in New Hampshire, he had lived and worked at the High Mowing School, Wilton, for many years. Mr. Cullinan was involved in organic farming in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Clam Shell Alliance, and a member of the Milford Good Guys Band. He enjoyed cars, music, mechanical inventions, camping, the desert and Sierra Nevada Mountains. In addition, he liked the simple life, helping people and finding solutions. He was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Mr. Cullinan served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ann (Carlson) Cullinan of Colfax, CA; two daughters, Seana Cullinan of Peterborough, NH, Saya Kate Cullinan of Boston, MA; two stepchildren, Kim Postgate and Lanie Phipps, both of Meadow Vista, CA; two grandchildren, Lily and Eli; four brothers, Michael J. Cullinan and Gary J. Cullinan, both of Milford, NH, Daniel J. Cullinan of SC, Steven W. Cullinan of Temple, NH; two sisters, Joleen C. Carleton of Milford, NH, Christine M. Field of Lancaster, NH; many nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, August 1st at 4:00pm in the High Mowing School Chapel, Abbott Hill Road, Wilton, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the High Mowing School, 222 Isaac Frye Highway, Wilton, NH 03086 or to the Brain Tumor Center, Berkowitz and Knott Fund, c/o Massachusetts General Hospital Development Office, 100 Charles River Plaza, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114-2792. Smith & Heald Funeral Home, Milford, is in charge of arrangements.
