Peter John Daniels

“If it’s broken or isn’t working right, call Peter… he’ll know what to do.” Peter John Daniels, 58, of Milford, passed away on September 29, 2017 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, attended by his loving wife Tammy Lenz Daniels, their children Adam and Nicolette, and a circle of close family and friends. He is survived by his parents, John “Jack” and Katherine “Kitty” (McEntee) Daniels of Milford; his brother Dr. David Daniels of Hyannis MA; his brother Thomas Daniels, his wife Andrea Bent Daniels and their daughter Bridget Aleece Daniels of Brookline; his sister Maureen Daniels and her husband Dr. Douglas Watt of Nashua and her daughter Johanna Winterburn of Milford; his sister Martha Daniels Holland and her husband Jared Holland and their children Andrew, Rebecca, Michael, Mary and Christopher of Nashua; a brother-in-law, John Winterburn; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Peter was also close to the Belanger family of Milford; he valued Gail, Normand, Sherri and Shawn as extended family. Peter was a passionate fisherman and enjoyed a lifetime of summer and winter visits to Lake Wallis in Canaan, Vermont. His children, nieces and nephews have fond memories of fishing, ice fishing, boating, tubing and dining at the lake. Peter was devoted to his work at Hy-Ten Plastics in Milford for over thirty years. His family is deeply grateful for the care of the good people of Hy-Ten who thought of him as their “go-to guy” and who gave practical and emotional support up to his last days. Friends and family alike remember Peter for his perseverance, his strong work ethic, his ability to build and fix virtually anything with his hands, and his incomparable wit. As he would say, “If one leg feels longer than the other, it’s probably because I’m pulling it.” The family will be celebrating Peter’s life as follows. Calling hours are on Wednesday, October 4th from 5:00-8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
