Peter J. Goodwin

Peter J. Goodwin, 64, longtime resident of Wilton, NH, died on September 20, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at the Concord Regional VNA Hospice House, Concord, NH. He was born in Nashua, NH on February 4, 1955, a son of the late Roy A. Goodwin and Edith (Trow) Davis. Peter was raised and educated in Milford and graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1973. He spent most of his working life in the residential building industry as a carpenter and had worked on many projects at the Quarry Condominiums in Milford. In his younger years, Peter loved coaching his daughter’s Little League teams in Wilton. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and also liked to go snowmobiling, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed morning coffee with the boys at Union Street Grill and was well known for telling stories and sharing jokes. Above all else, Peter loved his family fiercely, was so proud of his girls and filled their home with laughter. Family members include his wife with whom he would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on September 30th, Deborah L. (Joseph) Goodwin of Wilton; two daughters, Ashley Goodwin and Amber Goodwin, both of Wilton; a sister, Donna Jean of Londonderry, NH; a brother, Timothy Goodwin of Milford; brother-in-law, Dan Joseph of CA; a niece and nephew, Michelle and Chris; his stepmother, Alice Goodwin; a stepbrother, Harry Lyford; a stepsister, Glee Lyford; as well as several other family members. Memorial visiting hours are on October 2nd from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford.
