Peter Farkas, 93, resident of Sharon, NH died peacefully at home March 30, 2015. He was born in Petohaza, Hungary on June 9, 1921, a son of Peter and Gizella Farkas. Prior to moving to Sharon several years ago, he had made his home in Milford for more than 40 years. Mr. Farkas had been employed as Vice President and Metallurgical engineer for Permattach Diamond Tool Company, Milford, NH and retired from Simonds International, Fitchburg, MA. Following his retirement, he owned and operated Super Abrasives and a Sapphire Recycling Company. His passion was tennis and played all summer long at Keyes Field and all winter at Hampshire Hills. Mr. Farkas was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith Farkas; a son, Csaba M. Farkas and a grandson, Francis Farkas. Family members include a son, Attila Farkas and his wife Jackie of Milford; two daughters, Eniko Delisle of Miami, FL and Ildi Ingraham and her husband Erick of Sharon, NH; daughter-in-law, Sarolta Farkas; seven grandchildren, Andrew Farkas, Peter Farkas, Maria Farkas, Attila and Tyler Delisle, Brooks and Julia Bartlett; and a great grandson, Rigel Delisle. There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on April 9th at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Amherst, NH. A reception will be held immediately following the funeral mass at 182 McCoy Road, Sharon, NH.
