Pearl L. Cheney

Pearl L. Cheney, 88, resident of Milford, NH died on April 11, 2013 at Crestwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Milford. She was born in Berlin, NH on August 6, 1924, a daughter of Rennie and Mary L. (Chamberlain) Pennock. She was raised and educated in Berlin and graduated from Berlin High School. After her husband returned home from World War II, they made their home in Franklin, NH and later moved to North Conway, NH. Mrs. Cheney was a telephone operator in the business office for the Brown Company. She was a Girl Scout Leader and had also taught Sunday school. In addition, she loved dogs especially Boston Terriers. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Paul L. Cheney, who died in 2010 and a nephew, Rennie Pennock. Family members include her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Diane Cheney of Goffstown, NH; a grandson, Kevin Cheney; a niece, Helen Kramer of Shirley, MA; several grandnephews and grandnieces, Andrew Sazonick of Winchendon, MA, Vicki McCormick of WA, Steve Pennock of VT, John Sazonick of NY, Sylvia Pennock of CT, Jeff Kramer of TX and Lee Pennock of NH. There are no visiting hours. A service will be held on Friday, April 19th at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to Crestwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund, 40 Crosby Street, Milford, NH 03055.
