Paul E. Sortevik

Paul E. Sortevik, 62, resident of Effingham, NH, died on April 6, 2015 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH. He was born in Salem, MA on September 30, 1952, a son of Marion (McPhail) Sortevik of Bedford, NH and the late Harding C. Sortevik. Paul was raised in Amherst, NH and graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1970 and the University of Maine, Class of 1974. While in school, he was involved in sports and played soccer and baseball. He loved spending time outdoors, listening to music and enjoyed playing the guitar and flute. Paul had been employed by Uni-Cast, Manchester, NH for a number of years. In addition to his mother, family members include a brother and sister-in-law, Terrance H. and Lisa Sortevik of Kingsland, TX; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Susan J. and Royal Richardson of Chester, NH, and Laurie Sortevik of Pembroke, NH; two nieces, Kelsey Richardson and Jennifer Cheney; two nephews, Andrew Richardson, Colby Sortevik and his wife Emily. Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, NH at a later date.
