Patricia Berntson

Patricia Walsh Berntson (Pat) of Milford, NH died on April 18, 2024 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown New Hampshire. She was born in 1930 in Flushing, NY. She graduated from the College of New Rochelle.

After raising her children, Pat worked in real estate, first in Quogue, NY and later in Milford, NH. In 1991 she became the manager of Zahn's Alpine Guesthouse in Mont Vernon, NH, where she worked for many years before retiring in 2008.

Pat enjoyed tennis, volunteer work, playing cards and, in general, being with people. While living in Milford, Pat was active in the Milford Area Seniors Center. She frequently joined in the Milford Second Friday Song Circle. Pat attended the Milford Unitarian Universalist Church, where she sang with the choir, and later attended Church of Our Saviour in Milford.

Pat is survived by her three children. Son Eric Berntson and his wife Kathy of Blue Point, NY, daughter Donna Brown and husband Archie "Chipper" of Milford, NH, and son John Kurt Berntson and his wife Brenda of Hampton Bays, NY. Pat is also survived by several grandchildren and one great grandchild. Eric: son Kristoffer Berntson, his wife Edie, and their son, Aleksander; daughter Lauren Berntson, and her partner Megan; daughter Alyssa McLoughlin and her husband Kevin. Donna: daughter Clara. Kurt: stepsons Sawyer and Colby. Pat was predeceased by her husband, John Harry in April 2010, her sister Jacqueline Chea in 2016 and her granddaughter Wendy Brown in February 2020.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Bellport NY at 11 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Pat's ashes will be placed with those of her husband at the Long Island National Veterans Cemetery Columbarium in Farmingdale, NY.

Pat put a smile on the face of those who knew her. We will miss her greatly.
