Patricia A. “Patty” Markaverich, 60, longtime resident of Wilton, NH died on April 11, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Keene, NH on January 11, 1953, a daughter of Frederick C. and Alice L. (Balcom) Starkey. Patty was raised and educated in Milford and graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1971. She had a love for waitressing and worked at many local area restaurants starting at the Milford Diner and more recently at The Yankee Chef. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2008, she was graciously hired by Colonial Electronics in Nashua, NH to work when she was able. Patty enjoyed reading, loved the ocean and always looked forward to her annual trips to Hilton Head. She was a longtime member of the Second Congregational Church in Wilton. Patty spent her final days in the comfort of her own home surrounded by the people she loved most. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 41 years and high school sweetheart, Darryl Markaverich; a daughter, Jennifer Cassidy; a son, Jason Markaverich, all of Wilton; her three treasured grandchildren, Melissa and Melanie Markaverich and Dylan Cassidy; her many cherished and beloved friends and extended family. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, April 16th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am in the Second Congregational Church, Corner of Dale & Gregg Street, Wilton, NH, followed by cremation.
