Red Remick, 81, resident of Milford, NH died June 10, 2009 at the Elms Care & Rehabilitation Center in Milford. He was born in South Boston, MA on September 20, 1927 the son of the late Lester & Anne (Mangan) Remick. Red had been a resident of Milford for several years and had lived in Nashua, NH for most of his life and New Smyrna Beach, Florida for many years. He was employed as an elevator mechanic for Stanley Elevator of Nashua for 30 years. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and was discharged in 1949 with the rank of Corporal. Red enjoyed woodworking, especially cabinetmaking. He loved the ocean, spending time with his children and the love of his life, Maggie. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Margaret E. (Monahan) Remick, who died in 2003. Family members include 8 children and their spouses, Patricia A. & Edward Upton of Goffstown, NH, Kathleen M. & Maurice Bilodeau of Manchester, NH, Paul B. & Cindy Remick of Haverhill, MA, Judith V. & Raymond Durand of Nashua, NH, Christopher & Lisa Remick of Derry, NH, Maureen M. and the late Allen J. Hendrickson of Amherst, NH, Jane M. & Roger Cote of Nashua, NH, and Terrance M. Remick & Christine Roy of Portsmouth, NH; 10 Grandchildren, Brian, Molly, Kelly, Amanda, Christopher, David, Maggie, Taylor, Allie, and Aidan; 2 Great Grandchildren, Jake and Joshua. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 15th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A memorial service will follow at 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, NH Affiliate, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
