Olga J. Rossehaug

Olga J. Rossehaug, fondly known by her students as Miss Ross, age 89, resident of Milford, NH, died on January 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH. She was born in Haugesund, Norway on October 8, 1923, a daughter of Kristoffer and Elida (Nordal) Rossehaug. Miss Ross made her home in Milford for the past 58 years. She was the first teacher’s aide in New Hampshire when she began her career in Hollis, NH in 1954. In 1957, she began work for the Milford School District and retired after 25 years of service. The majority of her time was spent helping her young students to read. In her earlier years, she enjoyed swimming and traveling all over the world by ship. Miss Ross was a member of Souhegan Valley Chapter AARP and volunteered for the American Red Cross and the Share Program. She is survived by her dear friends and neighbors, Leslie and Pierre LaGrenade of Milford; several nieces and nephews in Norway. At her request there are no services.
