Nelson Spike Jones

Nelson Spike Jones, 50, resident of Milford, NH, died on July 10, 2014 at his home. He was born on June 15, 1964 in Bountiful, Utah, a son of Vincent L. and Hannelore M. (Ossmer) Jones. His parents currently reside in Arcadia, Florida and formerly made their home in Rindge, New Hampshire for many years Spike graduated from Spring Grove Area High School, Spring Grove, Pennsylvania. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1986 with the rank of Corporal. He had been employed for Johnson Precision, Inc. in Amherst, NH and Hy-Ten Plastics, Inc. in Milford, NH as an engineering coordinator for many years. Spike was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Hermann-Heinrich Jones, who passed away last year. In addition to his parents, family members include five children, Sebastian, Jacob, Virginia, Samuel and Matthew, all of Weare, NH; his fiance, Christina (Terrenzio) Houle of Milford; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen T. and Kellie Jones of Grafton, VT, David L. and DeLoa Jones of South Haven, MI, Arthur D. and Tracy Jones of Provo, UT, and Starla Jones of Findlay, OH; his former wife and mother of their children, Jennifer Matlack of Weare, NH; 23 nieces and nephews; and his beloved eight cats. There are no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial with military honors will follow in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway, Boscawen, NH.
