Nancy G. Dunbar

Nancy G. Dunbar, 77, resident of Amherst, NH, died peacefully on July 5, 2010 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 10, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late C. Chester and Elsa (Anderson) Grant. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Tufts University, Medford, MA, Class of 1955. Mrs. Dunbar resided in Amherst for several years, and formerly made her home in Hollis, NH for many years. She taught Kindergarten at the South Merrimack Christian Preschool for more than 20 years. Mrs. Dunbar loved to travel, especially to Maine and England. She enjoyed bird watching, was a voracious reader, and in recent years, she relished in watching classic films. She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Dunbar was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm C. Dunbar; and a sister, Sally Noyes. Family members include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Rose Marie Dunbar of Nashua, NH; two daughters and a son-in-law, A.J. Dunbar of Boston, MA, Sally and Tom Wilkins of Amherst, NH; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Richard Noyes; several nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10th at 10:00 am in St Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, NH.
