Nancy A. Feraco

Nancy Ann (Wisnesky) Feraco, 60, passed away at her home Monday, March 18th, 2024.

Nancy was born on July 6, 1963 in Hazardville, CT to Leonard “Lenny” Wisnesky and Joyce (Gottlieb) Wisnesky. For much of her childhood, her father had her believing the July Fourth fireworks were to celebrate her birthday. Nancy grew up in Enfield, CT with her older sister Terri and her younger brothers Leo and Mark, where she spent long afternoons enjoying the outdoors.

Nancy had many talents and followed her passions and curiosity wherever they led. She earned an Associates Degree in Business from the University of New Hampshire. She was a small business owner; running Wilton, NH’s beloved Nelson’s Candy & Music since its purchase in 2019. She was an accomplished seamstress, sewing countless garments and costumes for her family, as well as lending her talents to the Souhegan Valley community theater for several years. Nancy’s love of history and thirst for adventure lead her to join the Northeastern Educational Research Association (NERA) and participated in site excavations. Nancy especially enjoyed learning about local history and always had a new factoid or story to tell. She had a keen eye for antiques and art and dealt in antiques for several years. Nancy held a great love and respect for the beauty of nature. She was an avid organic gardener and completed the UNH Master Gardener program. Nancy cherished time outdoors, hiking in the woods, as well as basking in what she considered the healing powers of the seashore, hunting for sea glass and other treasures washed up by the ocean.

Nancy was a person who could make you feel as though you were the only person in a room when she talked to you. She had a fantastic sense of humor and a heart the size of Texas, unendingly generous with her time and effort for the people she loved. Nancy’s legacy of love is survived by her four daughters, Elizabeth McSweeney & her partner Steve Schmidt of Durham, NC; Eileen McSweeney & her partner Kyle Trembly of Nashua, NH; Katrina Feraco of Troy, NH; and Anastasia Feraco & her husband Arman Alpar of Monroe, NY. She is also survived by her siblings, sister Terri Kozaczka & her husband Scott of Enfield, CT; Leo Wisnesky & his wife Laura of Enfield CT; Mark Wisnesky & his wife of East Dennis, MA; and countless nieces and nephews.
