Michael J. O'Mara

Michael J. O’Mara, 30, of Amherst, NH, died suddenly on August 8, 2018. He was born in Norwood, MA on March 23, 1988, a beloved son of James M. O’Mara, Jr. and Patricia A. (Ralph) O’Mara of Amherst, NH. Michael graduated from Bishop Guertin High School, Class of 2007 and earned his degree in accounting from Suffolk University in 2011. Michael made his home in Amherst for most of his life. He was currently employed by the Taggart Ice Company, Nashua, NH and formerly had worked for Amherst Paint, LLC, for many years. He loved working on his truck, enjoyed hiking, kayaking and the simple pleasure of being outdoors. He was a loyal son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was the kind of friend that, if you asked for the time, he would give you his watch. Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, James and Barbara O’Mara. In addition to his parents, family members include two sisters and a brother, Alyssa O’Mara, Shannon O’Mara and Patrick O’Mara, all of Amherst; his maternal grandparents, William and Patricia Ralph of Dedham, MA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours are on Monday, August 13th from 5:00-8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack, NH. Burial will be private.
