Michael J. Hannigan IV, 44, resident of Franklin, NH died on August 6, 2024 at Mass General Hospital, Boston, MA, after a lengthy illness

He was born in Nashua, NH on January 24, 1980, a son of Michael J. Hannigan III and Margaret M. (VonIderstine) Hannigan of Lyndeborough, NH. He was raised and educated in Wilton, NH and graduated from Mascenic High School, New Ipswich, NH, Class of 1998.

Michael had been employed by Alene Candles and Hitchiner Manufacturing Company, Milford.

He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. What meant the most to Michael, was his family and spending time together. In addition to his parents, family members include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Marty and Penny Hannigan of Lyndeborough, NH, Matthew and Sarah Hannigan, Mark and Sara Hannigan all of Wilton, NH; his eleven nieces and nephews whom he adored, James, Timothy, Robert, Aiden, Matty, Lilly, Lucy, Brooke, Elias, Ashlynn and Richard; five aunts and an uncle, his Godmother, Brenda Dolan, Martin VonIderstine, Jr., Marilyn Hoyt, Kathleen Larpenter, Margaret Olsen Hannigan, and Mary Edigio; and many cousins.

Memorial visiting hours are on Friday, August 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00am in the funeral home, followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
