Michael Charles Lockwood, Sr.

Michael C. Lockwood, Sr., 55, longtime resident of Milford, died unexpectedly on August 31, 2013 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Utica, NY on June 22, 1958, a son of Ronald L. and Helen C. (Moore) Lockwood of Milford. Michael was raised and educated in New York and graduated from Oriskany Central High School in Oriskany, NY and New Hampshire Technical College. Mike worked as a master mold maker for several companies in Southern New Hampshire, including Cote Machine in Milford. He was most recently employed at Whelen Corporation in Charlestown, NH. Michael’s true passion was fishing and he most recently enjoyed an evening in his boat on the Connecticut River. He enjoyed playing cards, golf and following all New England sports. He was a loving husband and father, a devoted son and brother, a true friend to all; who’s greatest love was spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, family members include his wife of 28 years, Karen A. (White) Lockwood of Milford; three sons, Michael C. Lockwood, Jr. and his fiancé, Shaunna Burnor of Greenfield, NH, Christopher L. Lockwood of Greenfield and Brendon D. Lockwood of Milford; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lori True of Ridgefield, MN, Heidi and Gregory Morse of Pleasanton, CA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Rhonda Lockwood of Canterbury, NH, Ronald Jr. “Gus” and Tracy Lockwood of Larkspur, CO, Aaron Lockwood of NYC, NY; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; his beloved dog, Kodi and many feline friends. Memorial visiting hours are Thursday, September 5th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Donations in Michael’s memory may be made to Monadnock Kitty Rescue and Adoption, P.O. Box 468, Jaffrey, NH 03452, or to a charity of one’s choice.
