Michael C. Barbetta, 31, of St. Petersburg, FL and Milford, NH, died on October 11, 2011. He was born in Weymouth, MA on December 25, 1979, a son of Michael and Lillian Barbetta of Milford. Michael graduated from Milford High School. He received a J.D. degree from Stetson University College of Law and a bachelor’s degree at St. Joseph’s College in Maine. Michael was a licensed attorney in both New Hampshire and Florida, practicing with the Law Office of the Regional Counsel in Pinellas County. He was a devout Catholic and communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford, where he had served as an altar boy. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. For many years, Michael was an umpire for the MCAA and Babe Ruth League. He was also a participant in the American Legion’s Boys State and Boys Nation. In addition, he was a Black Belt in Karate. Michael was a gentle and kind young man and enjoyed helping those in need. Many people were touched by his thoughtfulness, love, kindness and calming personality. Throughout his life, many were impressed at his intelligence and his quick recall of facts; he always used his talents for the good of everyone. In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Chrystal Barbetta; many aunts, uncles, cousins and hundreds of friends. Memorial visiting hours are Friday, October 21st from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Share Outreach, Inc., 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
