Meredith J. Bickel

Meredith J. Bickel, 74, longtime resident of Pepperell, MA, died on January 24, 2022 in Milford, NH. She was born on November 8, 1947 in Milton, MA, the daughter of Edgar Chisholm and Caralyn (Payne) Chisholm. Meredith was raised and educated in Squantum, MA and graduated from North Quincy High School, Quincy, MA, Class of 1965. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Class of 1969. Meredith was a retired high school teacher at Chelmsford High School, Chelmsford, MA for 35 years. She was an athlete, who loved to play field hockey, basketball and softball. Meredith coached the Chelmsford High School softball and field hockey teams, as well as the University of Massachusetts, Lowell women’s basketball team. Meredith loved her animals and being outdoors, especially spending time at her family’s cabin in Bartlett, NH. Being a mother was her greatest accomplishment, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and fur-grandchildren. Family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay Dean and Russell Dean of Milford, NH; a daughter, Chelsey Bickel of Hudson, NH; two grandchildren, Allycia Allen and Tyler Allen; a sister, Cindy Venezia; two brothers, Brian Chisholm and Russell Chisholm; 6 fur grandbabies; Bartlett, Dany, Odin, Bella, Jade and Keylo. There are no visiting hours. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 26th at 1:00pm in the Boxboro Regency, 242 Adams Place, Boxborough, MA.
