Melissa J. Duffy, 49, a resident of Greenville, NH passed away at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH on June 12, 2022, after a short-lived, yet brave battle with cancer. She was born on March 31, 1973, in Boston, MA. The daughter of Janice (Lamonica) Rorick and the late Gerald Duffy. Melissa was raised in East Boston, MA where she attended school and spent most of her younger years. At the age of 20, Melissa moved to New Hampshire where she began raising her children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend who would do anything she could for the ones she loved. To Melissa, her family was a priority. She could almost always be found with either one or all of her children and grandchildren. When not with family, Melissa was nothing less than a hard worker who spent her later years as a Food Service Manager at Cumberland Farms in Milford, NH. She had a firecracker personality, a humorous tone, and a contagious laugh that could light up the darkest of days. Melissa was an easy-going type of person who loved the thrill of an amusement park, but who also enjoyed the simplicity of a car ride while listening to her favorite music. In her free time, Melissa enjoyed working out and now and then, gifting herself a trip to the nail salon. Her selfless, laidback ways made it easy for people to trust and confide in her. Once you met her, she became a friend. But once you got to know her, Melissa became family. She was predeceased by her beloved father Gerald Duffy, her grandparents Katherine Lamonica and Rosario “Cougie” Lamonica, her uncle Rosario “Ross” Lamonica, and her sweet Lhasa Apso dog Bella. Survivors include her loving children, Edwin Rivera of New Boston, NH, Felicia Rivera of Nashua, NH, Brandon Rivera of Greenville, NH, her daughter and son-in-law Shelley Rivera and Joshua Samuels, her mother and step-father Janice (Lamonica) Rorick and Nathaniel Rorick of Milford, NH, her brother Michael Stromsnes and her niece Emma Stromsnes of Salisbury, NH, as well as her grandchildren Jordan Ladue, Kane Samuels, Michaelah Rivera, Nick Young, and Brady Foote which whom she cherished the most.
