Maurice H. "Moe" Houston

Maurice H. “Moe” Houston, 69, resident of Amherst, NH, passed into a new life peacefully, on June 19, 2010 at Mass General Hospital, Boston, MA, with his family by his side. He was born in Lowell, MA on July 25, 1940, a son of the late George E. and Annette (Geoffroy) Houston. Mr. Houston resided in Amherst for the past 40 years and prior to his retirement, he had been employed by BLH Electronics in Canton, MA. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Mr. Houston served in the Army National Guard of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by three brothers, Ben, Kenneth and Maynard. Family members include his wife, Deborah A. (Deveau) of Amherst, NH; three daughters, Jennifer Houston and Donna Houston, both of Nashua, NH, Kimberly Houston of Lowell, MA; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Debbie Houston of Lowell, MA; three grandchildren, Sara, Jacob and William; a brother, Paul Houston of FL; two sisters, Paulette Moore of CA and Jackie Rashid of FL; many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial visiting hours are Thursday, June 24th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
