Mary Louise Gould

Mary Louise Gould, 90, resident of New Boston, NH, died July 10, 2008 in her home surrounded by her friends, flowers and her dog. She was born in Keene, NH on July 28, 1917, a daughter of the late Harold E. & Maud L. (Griswold) Stearns.�� � She was raised and educated in Hancock, NH.� She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1939, earned her Masters Degree in Sociology from Boston University in 1948 and spent many years working as a clinical psychologist.� Mrs. Gould had been a resident of New Boston for more than 50 years.� She loved her home and her dogs.� In addition, she enjoyed riding horses, gardening and weaving. Mrs. Gould was one solo flight away from obtaining her pilots license. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Charles A. Gould, who died in 2004.� Family members include a sister, Elizabeth Farwell Swift of Manchester, NH; two nieces, Kay Swift Tenney and Patricia A. Wederski; four nephews, M. Robinson Swift, Stephen Atherton Swift, Harold E. Schultz and Clyde Peach.� There are no visiting hours.� A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 17th at 3:00 pm in Norway Plain Cemetery, Route 123, Hancock, NH.� In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to UpReach Therapeutic Riding Center, P.O.
