Mary Lou Cassarino

Mary Lou Cassarino, 86, lifelong resident of Milford, NH, died on February 13, 2013 at the Milford Medical Center, Milford, NH. She was born in Nashua, NH on August 27, 1926, a daughter of Hermann L. and Mary (Broughton) Heald. Mary Lou graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1945. She had been employed as a finisher for Hitchiner Manufacturing Company, Milford for many years and had also worked at the Pillsbury Home in Milford for several years. Mary Lou loved to dance, was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, enjoyed trips to the ocean and most especially her annual trip to Belfast, Maine. In her later years she liked to play mini golf. She loved spending time with her family, attending birthday parties, holiday gatherings and meeting her friends every week for coffee. She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Cassarino; her son-in-law, David Wood; two brothers, John A. Heald and Richard B. Heald; and her sister, Suzanne H. Floris. Family members include two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna Wood of Epsom, NH, Sally and Harvey Cheever of Lyndeborough, NH; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Gail Cassarino, Scott and Janet Cassarino, all of Milford, Mark Cassarino of AZ; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother and two sisters-in-law, James E. and Kathryn Heald of Milford, Claire Heald of Manchester, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours are on Monday, February 18th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
