On May 26, 2022, Mary Ann Tyler-Wall passed away at the age of 58 in Lebanon, NH, after valiantly battling a chronic lung condition. Mary was born on September 14, 1963, to Carroll & Barbara Tyler in Walton, NY. She graduated from Walton High School in 1981 and SUNY Fredonia in 1985. In 1999, she married Jim Tyler-Wall, the love of her life, and made New Hampshire her home. As a lifelong lover of music, Mary incorporated it into every aspect of her life. She directed handbells at the Milford United Methodist Church, played oboe in the Temple and Amherst Town Bands, performed in Delaware River Stage Company and Temple Drama Club productions, co-directed the Temple Dance Band, and lent her powerful voice to countless choirs at home and abroad. Mary was a great enthusiast of taking the scenic routes, passionately hunting for covered bridges in all her travels, and happily sticking her feet in the ocean, no matter how cold the water. Mary also fiercely supported her family at countless concerts, sporting events, and theatre productions, always with the loudest, clearest cheer in any audience. Mary passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, who lent their voices to accompany her with music one last time. She is survived by her husband Jim, daughters Kathryn (Sean), Bronwyn and Emeline, mother Barbara, brother Joe (Barbara), nieces Melissa and Leah, her devoted miniature schnauzer Ritz as well as loving extended family members and friends. A private funeral will be held for immediate family, with a public Celebration of Life service to take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 2PM at the Milford United Methodist Church. In memory of Mary’s bright and colorful life, the family requests that Celebration of Life attendees wear their brightest and happiest outfits. In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to the American Lung Association in honor of Mary.
