Marlene A. Kent

Marlene A. (Kennedy) Kent, 66, resident of Amherst, NH died on April 17th, 2020 at her home. She was born in Newton, MA on February 14, 1954, a daughter of the late John J. and Irene (Rousseau) Kennedy. Marlene was raised and educated in Newton MA and graduated from Newton North High School. She made her home in Amherst, NH for the past 12 years. Marlene loved to read and write short stories and poems, she had a love of horses and enjoyed horseback riding in her earlier years, she enjoyed time spent with family, researching family history, spending summers at her family's cottage in Old Orchard Beach, telling stories, embroidering and collecting knick-knacks. Family members include her loving husband of 27 years, Peter M. Kent of Amherst, NH; two brothers, John J, Kennedy Jr. of Shapleigh, ME and Gary J. Kennedy and his wife Lisa of Maynard, MA; a sister, Irene Gail Gautreau and her late husband Ronald of Waltham, MA; her goddaughter, Shayna Marshall and her husband Kevin. Marlene was a loving aunt to Jack Kennedy and his wife Tifany, Ronald Gautreau Jr. and his wife Carmel, Shawn, Jake, and Ryan Kennedy, her great nephew Kevin and great nieces Noella, Bella, and Maeve. There are no visiting hours. Funeral services will be private at a later date.
