Marion W. McCreery, 89, resident of Milford, NH, died on November 3, 2013 in the Courville at Nashua, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Clinton, MA on June 24, 1924, a daughter of George and Fannie (Gentch) Wuth. She raised her children and made her home in Greenville for 40 years and had also lived in Charlotte, NC for several years. For the past 18 years she resided in Milford and spent the last five years at the Pillsbury Home where she made many great and loving friendships. Mrs. McCreery had worked at Hitchiner Manufacturing Company in Milford for 26 years and Pioneer Plastics in Greenville for 18 years. Following her retirement, she spent many summers at Martha’s Vineyard. She loved working on various crafts, bowling, painting and especially enjoyed the fall season. In addition, she liked going out to lunch with the elders from Hitchiner’s. Mrs. McCreery was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, James S. McCreery; a son, James E. McCreery; two grandchildren, William J. Galligan and George R. McCreery, Jr. Family members include three daughters, Barbara A. House of Alabama, Luella M. Bancroft and Cindy L. McCreery, both of Milford; four sons, George R. McCreery and Arthur B. McCreery, both of Greenville, NH, Glenn A. McCreery of Brookline, NH and Charles H. McCreery of North Carolina; 24 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9th at 10:00 am in the Greenville Community Church, 31 Pleasant Street, Greenville, NH. Burial will follow in Pleasant Street Cemetery, Greenville. Donations in her memory may be made to Milford Ambulance Association, 1 Union Square, Milford, NH 03055.
