Marilyn J. Lee

Marilyn J. Lee

Marilyn Jean Lee of Amherst, NH passed suddenly on November 13, 2023. Born August 2, 1938 in Lynn MA, she was the loving daughter of Anthony and Lena (DePalma) Pezzuto. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years Arthur Lee.

Marilyn graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1956, then went on to a secretarial position at the Boston Naval Shipyard before her marriage to Arthur.

Marilyn met Arthur at a ski club when close friends brought them together. This created a lifelong ‘marriage’ of these two groups that continued for the remainder of their lives. Marilyn will be most remembered as a dedicated stay at home mother who gave her unconditional love and support to her family. Marilyn’s most cherished moments were those spent with her five grandchildren, each relationship unique and special.

Marilyn and Arthur were co-owners of Enviro-Tote, Inc. of Londonderry, NH, with daughter Nancy. Marilyn supported the office in many ways and brought joy with her to work each day.

Marilyn had a multitude of interests and groups that she was a part of. She loved playing canasta with her close group of friends and maintained her connections with her tennis group, investment club, and ski club. She was an active member of the Bedford Italian Cultural Society and had a passion for discussing current events. She was an avid doll collector and a devoted member of the Nellie W. Perkins Doll and Miniature Society of NH, most recently serving as Communication Secretary.

Marilyn will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter, Nancy Sampo and husband Michael of Bow and their children Amanda and Anthony; her son Jeff Lee and wife Laura of Bedford and their sons Connor and Ryan, son Scott Lee and wife Jean of North Conway and their son Chase.

Her final resting place will be next to her husband at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Fratello’s Restaurant in Manchester, NH from 11am-2pm on December 23, 2023. Everyone is welcome. Marilyn's family would love to see each and every one of you who have been a part of her life.
