Marie E. Getchell

Marie E. Getchell, 53, resident of Amherst, NH, died October 21, 2010 at her home. She was born in Lawrence, MA on May 27, 1957, a daughter of the late John and Rita (Moreau) Laviolette. Marie was raised and educated in Lawrence and later moved to Amherst, NH where she has lived for the past 25 years. She had been employed by Westminster Fibers, Amherst, NH for many years. Marie most especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Family members include her son, Sean Getchell of Amherst, NH; a sister, Carol Laviolette of Monroe, NC; two nieces, Jayme Lassiter and Nicole Holste; two nephews, Robert Keeser and John Martel. There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 27th at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
