Marianne (Madden) Webber, affectionately known as “Mama” and “Nanny,” of Mont Vernon, was called home on the morning of October 29, 2021. Prior to spending the last 25 years in NH, Marianne proudly grew up in East Boston, MA,. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy and went on to Stonehill College, where she received her bachelor’s degree, but more importantly, made wonderful connections with lifelong friends. She settled in Swampscott, MA, where she married her husband, Scott, and raised her children; Jonathan and Christian Madden, and Molly (Webber) Franks before moving to NH in 1996. Marianne was a devout Christian and had an unrivaled work ethic. Prior to her retirement in 2017, Marianne spent many years in the financial industry, with 21 years of her career spent at Fidelity Investments. Her most notable career legacy was the number of lives she touched and the friendships she made along the way, which stood the test of time. Despite her numerous achievements and successes, she left no doubt as to what made her happiest and most proud: her children and grandchildren. Marianne was each of her children’s best friend, and they will forever cherish their devoted Mama. Grandchildren Liam Carll, Callum Madden, and Madison Franks were each blessed to meet and love their Nanny as well, and they were the absolute light of her life. Marianne’s impact is deep and forever. While her passing has left a gaping hole in the hearts of her loved ones, she has joined her beloved parents, Margaret and Walter Hankard, her brother Robert, and her precious firstborn grandchild, Declan Carll. A memorial service will be held for Marianne at Smith and Heald Funeral Home in Milford, NH, on November 9, at 11:00. A private burial will follow at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved grandson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
