Margaret M. Pond

Margaret M. Pond, 91, longtime resident of Amherst and Milford, NH, died peacefully on August 15, 2015 at Ledgewood Bay Assisted Living in Milford surrounded by her loving family and the committed staff. She was born in Boston, MA on June 11, 1924, a daughter of William I. and Winifred Walton. Mrs. Pond had been employed as a bookkeeper for the Milford Manor Nursing Home for more than 15 years. Mrs. Pond was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a loyal friend and dedicated employee. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; cooking, baking, making clothes, and especially dancing. She loved to sing and take long scenic drives in the car. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard F. Pond who died in 1965 and her son, Larry F. Pond who died in 2009. Family members include a daughter, Carol A. Shaw of Nashua, NH; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th at 2:00 pm in Meadowview Cemetery, Foundry Street, Amherst, NH.
