Louis A. Ovens Jr.

Louis A. Ovens Jr., 75, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died at the Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, on March 8, 2025.

He was born on January 20, 1950, in Nashua, NH, a son of the late Louis A. and Eunice (Tyler) Ovens Sr.

Louis was raised and educated in Hollis, NH. He married Marjorie L. Ovens and together have made their home in Milford for many years.

He worked for over 50 years at Hitchiners in Milford. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed any type of fishing, hunting, cooking, riding his motorcycle, baking and most importantly being with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Cynthia.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Ovens of Milford, NH, his children, Darcey and her husband Daniel Parr of Wilton, NH, Justin and his wife Nicole Ovens of Henniker, NH, Tracy and her husband Mark of Hillsboro, NH and Tony Ovens of Barnstead, NH. Four grandchildren, Willow, Josephine, Riley and Corey, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A graveside service will be held in the spring in the North Cemetery, Hollis, NH, date and time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Louis may be made to Smith & Heald Funeral Home.
