Louis J. Amadio

Louis J. Amadio, 98, lifelong resident of Milford, NH died on February 2, 2015 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. He was born in Milford on March 26, 1916, a son of Antonio and Anna (D’Andrea) Amadio. Mr. Amadio had been employed as a manager for French & Heald Furniture Company, Milford for many years and had previously worked at Label Art, Wilton for 24 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved music. He enjoyed playing guitar and stand up base in his band, Louis J. Amadio & The Tavern Boys. Mr. Amadio was a U.S. Army veteran and served in German and France during World War II and was discharged in 1946 with the rank of Sergeant. In addition, he was a member of Harley Sanford Post #4368, VFW, Milford and Granite Grange #7, Milford. He was predeceased by his wife, Miriam A. (Small) Amadio, who died in 1995; a granddaughter, Pamela A. (Shea) Riehl Burke, who died on January 18, 2015; a brother, Joseph Amadio; and a sister, Mary D’Amato. Family members include his daughter and son-in-law, Alicia C. and Malcolm Shea of Milford; two great grandsons, William Riehl and Sean Riehl; several nieces and nephews including Robert Amadio of Milford. SERVICES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED: DUE TO THE WEATHER, FUNERAL SERVICES SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH AT 10:30 AM HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH AT 10:30 AM IN THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
