Loraine E. Covey

Loraine E. Covey, 70, resident of Milford, NH, died January 20, 2011 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH. She was born and raised in Vermont and later moved to New Hampshire. She resided in the Milford and Wilton area for over 40 years. Loraine enjoyed fishing, bowling, baking, crocheting, working on crafts and frequenting the Hollis Flea Market. In addition, she was an avid New England sports fan especially the Red Sox and Patriots. Loraine enjoyed stock car racing and was a member of her brother-in-laws pit crew. Her favorite thing was camping and vacationing in York Beach, Maine. Loraine was a loving, fun and generous person whom all her daughter’s friends called “Ma” and all her grandchildren’s friends called “Gram”. She loved to attend her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events and during the winter season, she enjoyed watching them play in the snow. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Family members include five daughters, Denise Covey and Noel Cutler, both of Milford, Naomi St. Pierre and Norma Morrow, both of Wilton and Darcy Covey of Greenville; four sisters, Marilyn O’Meara, Lois Butler and Dale Beams, all of VT and Yvonne Sternberg of NY; 17 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours are Saturday, January 29th from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial will be in Waits River, VT, at a later date.
