Leslie C. Vadney, 84, resident of Milford, NH, died on November 28, 2014 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Francestown, NH on September 5, 1930, the youngest son of Israel Vadney, Sr. and Etta (Creighton) Vadney. Prior to his retirement, Leslie was employed as plant manager for Pioneer Plastics in Greenville, NH for more than 35 years. He was an avid camper and had traveled cross country three times and visited all of the lower 48 states and some of Canada. Leslie was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War and was discharged with the rank of Corporal in 1955. He was a member of the Bent Burke Post #10 American Legion, Wilton and Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW, Milford. Leslie was predeceased by a son, Bruce Vadney; two brothers, Leland Vadney and Israel Vadney, Jr.; two sisters, Alice Briggs and Evelyn Vadney. Family members include his wife of 40 years, Gertrude (Vaillancourt) Demers Vadney of Milford; four children, Linda Halloway of AL, Timothy Vadney of AZ, Glenn Vadney of NH and Pamela Golden of ME; a stepdaughter, Tina Marie Ricard of OR; two stepsons, Gerard Demers and Francis Demers, both of NH; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH, at a later date.
