Leslie A. Coldwell, 81, resident of Amherst, NH, died September 23, 2009 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH. He was born in Nashua, NH on April 9, 1928, a son of the late Leslie D. and Gwen Coldwell. He was raised and educated in Nashua and graduated from Nashua High School. Mr. Coldwell resided in Amherst for the past 52 years. He had been employed as a Quality Controller for Sanders Associates, Nashua for 21 years. He loved family gatherings, camping, photography, playing the drums and enjoyed motorcycles, especially Gold Wings. Fraternally he held memberships in Rising Sun Lodge #39 Free and Accepted Masons of Nashua for sixty years, The Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Nashua and the Bektash Shriners. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Family members include his wife, Phyllis M. Coldwell of Amherst, NH; a son, Allen L. Coldwell of Milford, NH; three daughters, Darleen G. Uhlir of Troy, NH, Lisa M. Coldwell of Marlborough, NH and Sheri A. Coldwell of Stoneham, MA; two grandchildren, Angela McGranaghan and Bret Durfee; a great grandchild, Brooke McGranaghan; a sister, Shirley Wood of Nashua, NH; many nieces and nephews. A visiting hour will be held on Saturday, September 26th from 9:00-10:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114 or St. Joseph�s Home and Hospice Care, 24 North River Road, Milford, NH 03055.
