Kyeong (Kim) Kim-O’Sullivan, 56, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024 after a long illness. Born on August 19th, 1968 in Pyeongtaek South Korea, she attended Pyeongtaek High School before coming to the United States in 1994. She went on to pursue her passion in Art at both Rivier College and New Hampshire Institute of Art. As a gifted Artist, she touched people’s lives through beautiful paintings, elegant pottery, jewelry, sculpture, photography, and an impactful series of artwork dedicated to the visually impaired.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Dan; their 13-year-old son, Daniel; Her parents Yon-Sim, and Kyo-In Kim from South Korea; Her aunt Yon Ye Kelsey (Roger) from Nashua, NH, her mother in law, Maureen O'Sullivan-Nareau (Wayne), her sisters in law, Colleen Thompson (Greg) and Kathleen Dominguez (Willy) and nephews Brenden and Ryan, and niece Nicole. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Yeong-duk.
Active in the St. Antoine Daveluy Korean Parish in Newton, Kyeong taught at the Boston Catholic Korean School, and hand painted easter candles for the Boston Carmel Monastery from 2022-2024. She was also a committed volunteer parent at the Hollis Montessori school, serving on various committees and sharing her talent through the design of the yearbook covers.
Kyeong will be cherished for her nurturing spirit as a mother, her love and unwavering support as a wife, as a deeply devoted daughter, and loyal friend, who always put others first. Her joyful smile and spontaneous acts of kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 27th from 5:00-7:00pm at the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 28th at 10am in St Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery located at 6 Cemetery Road, Mont Vernon, NH. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Foundation
