Kristen L. Inserra, age 53, a resident of Milford, NH, passed away on February 18, 2025, at her home. She was born on March 10, 1971, in Medford, MA, the daughter of William and Dolores Collins (Deb Rivera) of Milford, NH.
Kristen was raised and educated in Somerville, Massachusetts, and is an alumna of Somerville High School, graduating with the Class of 1989.
Kristen fondly reminisced about her magical summers at Papa Eddie and Nana Audrey’s camp on the Saco River in Hiram, ME. She delighted in splashing through the river's cool waters, daring leaps off the old bridge, zipping around on mopeds, and gathering blueberries for Papa’s legendary pancakes. Nights were filled with the sparkle of fireflies and joyful walks with sisters and cousins to Cotton’s for a scoop of ice cream bliss.
As an adult, Kristen cherished the simple joys of love and life. She loved watching sunrises and sunsets with her favorite music, trips to Salisbury beach with her husband and dog Cora, late-night talks and spontaneous day trips with her daughter Jamie, mother-son movie nights with James, baking and painting with granddaughter Jayda, gardening or relaxing in the yard with her parents and family time on Northwood Lake. Kristen also treasured her time with her dog Cora.
Her life was tragically brief. She will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.
Kristen is survived by her parents, husband James M. Inserra of Medford, MA and Milford,NH, daughter Jamie Inserra of Manchester, NH, son James Inserra Jr. and his fiancée Emily Paquette of Pelham, NH, granddaughter Jayda Lewis of Manchester, NH, sisters Janet Smithe (Lawrence) of Milford, NH, and Ryanne Crawford (Andrew) of Boca Raton, FL, and her dog Cora. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Kristen’s heartfelt wish was for no child to suffer from illness or pain.
