Kevin is the son of the late Jeannette and Aquiline Grugnale. He is predeceased by his sister Jeannette, brothers Maurice, Robert and Alan Grugnale.
Family members include his children Tarah Merrill and Kyle Larouche of Peterborough, NH and a granddaughter Olivia Riley; brother Emilio Grugnale of Milford, NH; brother and sister-in-law Roger and Carmel Grugnale of Manchester, NH; sister and brother-in-law Donna and Frank Asselin of Milford, NH; sister Maureen Giardina and partner Rick Saben of Milford, NH; sister Annie Cooper and partner Tim Spencer of Milford, NH; brother Aquiline Grugnale Jr. of Jaffrey,NH; sister and brother in-law Lori and Ed Stapf of Milford, NH; sister Bonnie and her late husband Jean Audet of Milford, NH. There are many nieces and nephews who Kevin adored.
The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his death. He was the last born out of 13 children. He attended Milford schools and lived in Milford most of his life.
He was very proud (as is his family) of his sobriety of almost 9 years. He shared his painful story with many and would always leave a positive impact.
During his younger years he loved playing baseball and softball. He was a fast-running left fielder with a great arm. He was a switch hitter, which was rare in the softball league. Kevin was known as a “scrappy” player. His friends describe him as a “true friend”, “helpful”, “tough like nails”, “a sweetheart with a tough shell”, “funny”, “confident”, “one of the hardest workers”, “kindhearted soul”, “polite & very social”.
Kevin worked in the past as a labourer, landscaper, and worked in yard maintenance as well. Over the last few years Kevin has loved to collect and recycle various metals including copper, aluminium, and brass.
A true New England sports fanatic, Kevin followed his beloved Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox with deep passion. He enjoyed listening to music, sitting in the sun, playing cards, cribbage, riding his bicycle, and spending time with his friends and family. He loved to sit outside with his fellow neighbors drinking his coffee and feeding the squirrels.
Our family is grateful to know that our little brother is finally at peace. We will miss him more than words can express.
There will be a celebration of life at the Milford VFW function hall on Sunday, November 5th from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
Please come with stories to share and in Kevin’s honor we will be wearing New England sports team apparel.
