Kenneth "Unka" Hills, age 81 of Milford, NH, died peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, his family settled in Milford in the early 1940s, where he has resided on the family farm. He faithfully served our country in the US Army in Japan during WW II. After the war ended he returned home to Milford where he worked for OK Tool for 31 years and helped his parents maintain the farm. He was also a part-time Milford Police Officer for several years in the 1960s. � Over the years he stayed in touch with his military friends and often told stories of his years in the service. He showed his dedication to the military by preserving a collection of military memorabilia and was a member of the local VFW. Ken enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, boating, woodworking, spending time "up-country" at the family camp and was happiest spending time with family.� He was preceded in death by beloved parents Annabelle and Charles H. Hills as well as his sister Shirley Mae Lundberg and brother-In-Law Charles W Lundberg.� His memory will be cherished by his niece Len-Ann and her husband Bill Rutherford and her children Jason Ethridge, Jennifer Abraham and Thomas Ethridge, and his nephew Chuck and his wife Cindy Lundberg and their children George and Sonia Isaac, also two great-great nieces and a great-great nephew.� Relatives and friends are welcome at the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, on Wednesday, April 30 at 10:00am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00am.� Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Nashua Street, Milford, NH. Donations may be made in his memory to Souhegan Home and Hospice Care, 24 North River Road, Milford, NH� 03055.
