Kathryn A. Riendeau

Kathryn A. “Kate” Riendeau, 77, resident of Milford, NH, died August 25, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 16, 1934, a daughter of Florence (Jenkins) Welch. She lived in Columbus until age 13 and later moved to California, making her home in Milford for more than 50 years. Self employed as a bookkeeper, she had worked for Draper Fuel Company and Public Service Company of New Hampshire. Kate was a member of the First Congregational Church of Milford, UCC, where she served on numerous boards and committees, was clerk of the church, taught Sunday school and was active in the choir. She enjoyed reading, knitting and loved to sing. Kate was predeceased by her husband, Jesse F. Riendeau and their son, Farley J. Riendeau. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Herb Swenson; a son, Brian Riendeau, all of Milford; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Riendeau of Land O’Lakes, FL; two grandchildren, Hans A. Swenson of Milford and Kerstin Flavin of Ketchum, Idaho; two step grandchildren, Ronnie Garneau and Lori Sweet, both of Florida; and a sister, Marilyn Lee Adkins of Columbus, Ohio. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on September 17th at 1:00 pm in the First Congregational Church of Milford, UCC, 10 Union Street, Milford.
