Kathleen K. Dion

Kathleen K. Dion, 71, resident of Milford, NH, peacefully passed away on February 26, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on July 2, 1944, a daughter of Kenneth L. and Helen (Weiss) Lewis. She was raised and educated in Sioux City and graduated from Bishop Heelen Catholic High School, Class of 1961. Shortly after her marriage to Paul Dion in Rapid City, South Dakota, they moved east and have made Milford their home since 1969. Kathleen had been employed as a purchasing manager for Norton Company in Milford for more than 20 years. She enjoyed reading and tending to her gardens, especially her rose bushes. In addition, Kathleen was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. She was a loving wife of more than 52 years, a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and she absolutely adored her grandsons. Since 1969, Kathleen was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald Lewis and Terrence Lewis. Family members include the husband whom she cherished, Paul H. Dion of Milford; a daughter, Cheryl Dion of Milford; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Patrick and Patricia Dion, and Joseph Dion, all of Milford, and Matthew and Sheryl Dion of Bedford, NH; two grandsons, Zachary and Christian Dion, both of Bedford; a sister, Florence Campbell of Sioux City, Iowa; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles & Linda Lewis of Liberty, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are on Wednesday, March 2nd from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
