Karen J. Bevington

Karen J. Bevington, 60, a resident of Milford, NH, died on March 28, 2021 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a brief illness. She was born on November 7, 1960 in Haverhill, MA, a daughter of the late Phillip White and Adele (Lebell) White Oesterich. Karen was raised and educated in Haverhill, MA. She married Thomas L. Bevington on January 2, 1987. Together they resided in Derry for over 30 years; for the last several years, they made their home in Milford. Karen had a long career as a nurse and worked for many years at Amedisys Health Care in both the Portsmouth and Londonderry areas. She enjoyed knitting, reading, trips to the lake and beach, and especially loved playing with her grandchildren. Family members include her husband of 34 years, Thomas L. Bevington of Milford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Erin Putnam of Hudson, NH, and Brian and Ashley Bevington of Pembroke, NH; stepdaughter Kristin Bevington of Waltham, MA; three grandchildren, Connor, Braden and Allison Putnam; two sisters, Sandra White and Christine White, both of Haverhill, MA; a close cousin and her husband, Deborah and Russell Finch of Chenango Forks, NY; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. SERVICES: A walk through visitation will be held on April 1st from 10:00-11:30am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A private funeral service will be held following the visiting hours. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford, NH. Those attending are asked to adhere to current guidelines by wearing a mask and observing social distancing.
