Karen Anne (Nestor) Cilley was born May 8, 1949 to the late Robert and Katherine Dorothy (Dot) (St. Amand) Nestor. After being diagnosed earlier this year with cancer, Karen passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 8th at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua. Karen is predeceased by her brother, Joseph; and sister, Mary Nestor. She is survived by the joys of her life, Mark and wife Rhonda, Joshua and wife Jennifer. She also leaves behind her beautiful grandchildren Emerson, Taylor, Camden and Caden Cilley. Karen grew up in Milford and graduated from The Mount Saint Mary High School in 1967. Later moving to Peterborough in 1972, Karen raised her boys in the community, and remained in Peterborough and called it home for the remainder of her life. She worked at Byte magazine and later SDE where she made many friends that became an important part of her life. Karen was known for her friendly demeanor, her big smile, and a kind word for anyone in need of one. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Karen enjoyed cooking, baking and reading. She also had a love of animals, and for those who wish to pay tribute to her, please make a donation to your local Animal Rescue League. The family looks forward to holding a celebration of life in Peterborough in the late fall, as this was her favorite time of year.
