June M. Bacon

June M. Bacon, 78, resident of Hollis, NH, died January 15, 2011 at Greenbriar Healthcare Terrace, Nashua, NH. She was born in Greenfield, MA on January 5, 1933, a daughter of Emil and Madora (Riel) Demars and was raised and educated in Lake Pleasant, MA. Mrs. Bacon has resided in Hollis for the past 4 years and formerly lived in Brookline, NH for 18 years and Ayer, MA for many years. Prior to her retirement from Ryder Rental Company, she had been employed as a secretary for Hudson School District for several years and at Ayer School District for many years. Mrs. Bacon enjoyed crocheting and was an avid New England sports fan. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Bacon was a member of the Church of The Good Shepherd, Nashua. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur H. Bacon, who died in 2007. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia S. and Edward Smith of Brookline, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, John C. and Marina Bacon of Shirley, MA; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Mara, Neil, Jesse, Megan, Rose and Derreck; two great grandchildren; a brother and three sisters-in-law, Emil and Bev Demars of Gill, MA, Flora Gale of Amherst, NH and Jean Bacon of AZ; several nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 21st at 2:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
