June C. Currier

June C. Currier, 86, resident of Henniker, NH died June 7, 2012 in Milford, NH, at the home of her son surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Boston, MA on December 26, 1925, a daughter of Lewis and Alma (Hayward) Peterson. She graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1947. A resident of Amherst, NH for many years, she had lived in Henniker for more than 30 years and wintered in Edgewater, Florida. Mrs. Currier enjoyed genealogy, traveling, playing croquet and practiced Tai Chi for many years. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Philip J. Currier, who died in 2011. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Donald P. and Patricia Currier of Milford, NH; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Gary Randlett of Amherst, NH, Christine and William Sidles of Weare, NH, Holly and Michael Piche of Milford, NH; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and several cousins. Memorial visiting hours will be held on June 23rd from 1:00-2:30 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph Home and Hospice Care, 24 North River Road, Milford, NH 03055.
